Alex Ghai, CEO & President
Alex is co-founder, CEO & President of Arch Telecom and has over 21 years of Wireless Retail experience. He has been involved in launching many new wireless ventures over the years and has ownership stakes in multiple businesses including real estate and urgent care centers. Alex graduated from Delhi University, India with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and relocated to United States in 1998. Coming from a family with steel manufacturing factories in India, he grew up surrounded by great mentors and entrepreneurs.
Alex has worked with multiple National & Regional Wireless Providers over the years including T-Mobile, Cellular One, Nextel Partners besides Sprint / Nextel. During this time Alex assumed various roles to meet the demands of a growing business. He has had a hand in developing many of the M&Ps related to Sales, Personnel, Operations, Carrier Relations & Business Development and to this date is actively engaged in the daily workings of Arch Telecom. Alex has been on Sprint’s dealer council board since 2007 and is well respected in the trade.
Vic Ghai, Chairman
Vic is the Founder and Chairman of Arch Telecom where he focuses on working with the management team in providing strategic direction and business development. Vic has vast experience in the telecommunications/wireless space and has managed and/or founded companies in indirect wireless retail, ecommerce, telemarketing, wholesale wireless distribution (master dealer program), and equipment distribution (phone sales). Vic is an active member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) where he is able to leverage his peers in advisory board capacity with a wide range of expertise and experience.
Vic is also the founder of several other successful businesses including C2 Wireless and Accessories (wholesale distribution of OEM wireless accessories to midlevel distributors, large retailers) and Aliantel (general contractor focused on cell site services: development, construction, and maintenance). Vic received a B.A. in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in 1987 and an M.B.A from San Jose State University in 1989.
Kanwal Chopra, VP of Operations
Kanwal has over a decade of experience in the wireless industry with operational and financial acumen in the Indirect distribution channel. Presently Kanwal is the VP of Operations and has worked closely with Alex Ghai to grow the business over the course of the last 14 years. He is responsible for ensuring that Arch’s business operations are efficient and effective and that there is a proper management of resources that leads to an effective delivery of the value proposition to consumers. He is also responsible for developing and cascading the organization’s strategy to lower ranking staff and to ensure their practices and workflow align towards company goals. He is also responsible for developing and cascading the organization’s operational strategy and driving key performance measures.
Kanwal joined the organization in 2002 as the Operations Manager of the DC metro market. He studied Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College in New Delhi, India and finished his undergraduate in Accounting at the University Of Maryland, College Park.
Darrin Ferillo, VP of Sales
Darin is the Vice President of Sales and has over 20 years of Wireless Retail Experience with all major carriers. Darin graduated with a BA from the University of Delaware, majoring in Political Science. He started in wireless as a Business-to-Business Sales Rep before moving to the retail side, starting as a Sales Associate and building a track record of success leading to his current position.
During his time with Arch, Darin has overseen the growth of the Company from thirty Sprint stores to the 160+ locations we have today. He is a hands-on, aggressive leader that is always looking for creative ways to stay ahead of the competition in what is a rapidly-changing sales environment. Darin’s management style is collaborative—he works closely with his teams, seeking the best ideas from his Top Performers to help improve results throughout the Company. He values loyalty and many of Arch’s employees have worked with him for over a decade.
Danial Ponzo, VP of HR
Daniel has over 20 years of leadership experience in both the public and private sector. Prior to joining Arch Telecom he has served in executive roles in both Human Resources and Operations in the telecommunications, manufacturing and service industries. Daniel is a LtCol in the USMCR, having deployed abroad four times in the service of his country. Daniel holds a bachelors from the George Washington University and a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. In his spare time Daniel enjoys lifting heavy objects off the ground.
Jonathan Blood, Executive VP of Business Development
Jonathan is Arch’s Executive Vice President of Business Development and has over 30 years of extensive wireless experience as both a Retail Agent and Carrier Executive. Of those 23 years, JB worked closely with the Un-Carrier mogul, T-Mobile, while most recently holding the position of Vice President of Indirect Sales for the Business Channel. During that time, he was responsible for strategy, sales, and business development of all T-Mobile Indirect Business Partners.
For 19 of those 23 years JB held various positions on the consumer side where he interacted with the Dealer Channels as well as COR. During this time, he was also the primary architect of the TPR program which we’re fortunate enough to be a part of today! JB will be using his passion, energy, and go-getter attitude to focus on overall company growth, process improvement, and employee success at Arch.
